Welcome to the Ports Department of Brunei Darussalam’s homepage.
Muara
Port, which is Brunei Darussalam ’s main port and the Gateway for Trade, has been and will continue
to strive to develop and improve its infrastructure as well as its
services and service levels in order to meet the national demands. Muara
Port is also going
full speed ahead in its effort to develop and enhance its transshipment
activities.
The dedicated container terminal at Muara Port, Muara
Container Terminal, is equipped with up-to-date machinery and equipment
and operated by experienced and skilled manpower that delivers high
levels of efficiency and productivity. The terminal is also served by a
number of dedicated, experienced and skilled Stevedoring Companies.

Conventional Terminal is no less than the Muara Container Terminal.
With clear
policy guidance and full commitments of the Ministry of Communications, a
number of strategic plans have been drawn up for short, medium and long
term development of Muara Port and its services in order to realize the
national vision to make Brunei Darussalam a Service Hub For Trade and
Tourism. I am confident that with the ample facilities, good
infrastructure and high level of efficiency and productivity, combined
with competitive port tariffs, Muara
Port is a preferred
Port of Call for local import cargoes as well as transshipment cargoes.
We hope to see significant increase in the number of ship calls, shipping
routes, containers and break bulk cargo.
