Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya Bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Minister of Industry and Primary Resources paid a working visit to Serasa Passenger Ferry Terminal and Cruise Ship Center, Muara Port on 29 November 2008.

He was welcomed by Mr. Ang Kian Guan, the Acting Director of Ports. Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah Bin Haji Abd Wahab, Deputy Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Hamid Haji Mohd Jaafar, Permanent Secretary and Yang Mulia Pengiran Hajah Mariana Bte Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Di Raja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Brunei-Muara District Officer Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yussof bin Bakar, Senior Officers from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Officers from Ports Department as well as Relevant Government Agencies operating at the Terminal and also the travel agencies.

The Minister was given a tour of the new Terminal’s facilities and services available, such as Ticketing Booths, Prayer Rooms, Duty Free Shops, Lounge Area, VIP Rooms and Canteen.

At the Cruise Ship Center, the Minister was briefed on the operation of the Center, which will only be open when there are cruise ships calling. The facilities available are Information Kiosk, Souvenir Shop, Café, Convenience Shop, Phone Booths as well as free wireless Internet Access. The Cruise Ship Center expects to receive 2 cruise ships a month until the year 2010.
